Tsunami

                                A tsunami

A tsunami is caused by an earthquake or volcanic eruption. Then it causes a series of ocean waves. It is caused by an underwater earthquake or vacuum eruption. When a tsunami hits the first wave isn't the biggest but it depends how big it is to how far it goes.

A tsunami is a series of enormous  waves  created by an underwater disturbance usually associated with  earthquakes occurring below or near the ocean restructure as waves come in and go. Underwater landslides volcanic eruptions or asteroids can also cause tsunamis.

A tsunami  can kill or injure people and damage or destroy buildings. A Tsunami can  travel 20-30 miles per hour with waves 10-100 feet high.

New Zealand has had about 10 tsunamis around the 1840s. They  were not that big there were about 5m high we haven't had one since. The largest tsunami was in Auckland and it travelled to New Zealand and it took 15 hours to travel and it reached up to 8 m in parts of the east coast.

In conclusion, tsunamis are caused by volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.

Tsunamis can injure people really badly and they can destroy people's buildings. They can be devastating to communities and many people are affected by tsunamis.
